I Got Married {My Wedding}

I am so excited to announce to all of you that on September 7th, 2013 Brandon and I became Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Johnson! That’s right I am now officially Elisabeth Johnson!

Brandon and I had been dating for 2 years before he proposed. We then had a year to plan the wedding before we said our wedding vows. Little did we know just how much time and energy it would take to finalize all of the finishing details on the wedding. I took pictures and documented every detail that went into the wedding so I can share it all with you.

Here are some of the final results of the DIY projects that went into the wedding along with a quick recap of the day.

Giedre from Walking Dot Photography did an amazing job capturing all of the details of the day. You have to check her out and if you live in the Chicago land area, you have to give her a call and set something up. Or if you are every just passing through, you won’t be disappointed! You can also check out more the pictures from out big day Here!

The way I look at a wedding, it is the biggest and most fun party that you are ever going to through with all of your friends and family. Now marriage, that is a completely different thing. Brandon and I not only prepared for the wedding but for the Sacrament of Marriage as well. I will go into more details about that later but I am officially restarting my Wedding Wednesdays! I am going to start from the beginning on every single detail for planning a wedding!

I didn’t want to post all of the pictures beforehand because I wanted everything to be a surprise for all of my guest as many of them read my blog and would have known everything I was doing. So now that the wedding is over and married life has started I can now share all of my secrets with all of you.

Wearing A Statement Color

I don’t know about you but I absolutely love the color teal! It is such a fun rich color. No mater how it is worn, I know it will look great. I love wearing what I call “statement colors” and teal is definitely one of those colors!

I must say this though, I am completely in love with a white pea-coat as well. Although who isn’t, right? It just looks so dressy and sleek.

For today’s Fashion Friday I paired it with a teal dress, teal heals, a Vera purse and a white belt to tie the whole outfit together.

Do you like the my braided up-do? Believe it or not, this is a very simple way to make your hair look amazing!

I will be posting the video tutorial on how to do this braided style yourself. So don’t waist any time and subscribe to my blog so you get it sent right to your e-mail.
