Rainbow Flash Mob – Green

So some of you might have heard about the rainbow flash mob (#RainbowFlashMob) that has been going on… Well I got tagged with the color green from my sister- in-law Ann Marie from White House Black Shutters. All you have to do is be given a color and find anything of that color around the house. Then share it on facebook, instagram, twitter or your blog so that others can join in the fun!

So I went ahead and found a number of green things that I already had around the house! So here’s what I found:

Rainbowflashmob

You don’t have to say what everything is, I just thought it would be fun for all of you to see what I have around the house and why!

1. Stevia Plant – Stevia is a natural sweetener and I love to put it in my infused waters or freeze it in ice cubes and put it in your lemon aid.

2. Lime – My husband is an amazing cocktail drink maker. I call him the “Mix Master” and we always have limes on hand just incase he needs them for his drinks!

3. Vera Bradley Purse – For years my grandma would buy me one Vera a year. So I have many different shapes and color purses from her.

4. Get Clean Basic H2 –  This is basically my number 1 go to cleaning product! It does absolutely everything and it is organic, super cleaning and extremely concentrate. Plus it is only pennies per bottle!

5. Kiwi – I always loved kiwis growing up although I hadn’t had them in a long time and they were on sale this week, so I bought them! I am so glad that I did because it brought back so many great memories!

6. Shaklee 180 Energizing Green Tea – Between this and the Pomegranate Tea I don’t know how I would get through each day! It helps give me the energy that I need without the crash at the end of the day without any jitters. (Cutting hair and jitters don’t go well together)

7. ProSante Finishing Spray – This is one of my favorite hair sprays. I use it as a root lifter when the hair is wet and then again as a finishing pray when the hair is dry! I have to mention that I do use and love the whole ProSante Hair Care Line and I use it on all of my clients!

8. Celery – Everyone should know that celery is a huge calorie burner and that it take more calories to burn off than celery itself! I always have it in the fridge!

9. Billy’s Bootcamp Workout – I can’t tell you how many random workout videos I have laying around the house! I am so glad that I now use the Burst workout program! It comes free with your Turnaround or Lean and Healthy Kit and it is right on your phone so you always have it at the palm of your hand!

10. Metal Scrubby – I love using this scrubby with my Sour Off Heavy Duty Past! It helps me clean things as hard as rusty or soap scum.

11. Beaded Bracelet – This is actually a necklace that I just wrap around my wrist to make it into a bracelet!

12. Dangle Earrings – I can’t tell you how long I have has these earrings. I actually forgot that I had them!

13. Necklace – I bought this necklace when I was in Ireland back in 2008

14. OPI Nail Polish – This is only one of my many colors! I love OPI for all of my pedicures!

15. The Shaklee Effect Pin – Shaklee has been around for almost 60 years and everyone that has used their products know that it has had some great effect on their life. This pin just indicates that I am part of the effect! You can read my whole weight loss story here and how Shaklee has effected my life!

16. Guest Bath Room Hand Towel – I love bright light colors so when I chose the colors for all of the small room I made sure they were bright and welcoming!

17. Head of Roman Lettuce – Brandon and I have a salad every single day, so lettuce is always a must around here! Random fact, I will always choose Roman over Iceberg lettuce. 🙂

So there you have it! I will be honest, I actually had a lot of fun hunting around the house looking for green colors!

If you want to play along just comment below and I will give you a color and you can join in the fun!

Happy hunting!

The Perfect Healthy Snack (It is Cool, Crunchy, Creamy and Sweet!)

When it comes to healthy snacks, I would have to say that this is one of my favorite snack. It is a great combination between energy, protein and deliciousness! It is easy to make and even easier to eat.

The combinations are truly endless with this snack. I personally love shopping at Trader Joe’s for all of my food and I especially love their granola section. There are so many amazing oppositions and they all go well with what I am about to share. If you don’t believe me you are just going to have to see for yourself.

Yogurt, Protein and Granola... Now that is a health Snack

You will need:

1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt.
1/2 Cup Granola.
1 Scoop of Shaklee 180 Strawberry Smoothie Protein.
Fresh fruit, if desired.

First things first. Pour your yogurt into a bowl.

Start with a bowl of yogurt. Measure out one scoop of your Shaklee 180 protein. Add a scoop of protein to your yogurt Pour the protein into your bowl. Add protein to your yogurt for it to be extra filling. Then measure out a half cup of the granola of your choice. (I used the Mixed Berries)
Add a .25 cup of granola to your yogurt and protein Next you just need to pour the granola into the bowl.
I am so going to try this. It is like a DIY parfait with protein Once you have everything in the bowl, give it a good mix up and… I am so going to try this, yogurt, granola and strawberry protein. …you are complete!  This is such a great idea... Yogurt, Protein and Granola Just add some Energy Tea (or Pomegranate Lemonade) and you are set for a perfect afternoon snack.

The perfect healthy snack. Yogurt, Protein, Granola and Enery tea!

Now do you believe me? Doesn’t that look like a delicious treat? It has a little bit of everything in it. It is cool, crunchy, creamy and sweet. What more can you ask for in a healthy snack?

Energizing Caramel Apple Green Tea

With a chill in the air, there is no better time than the present to sip down the warmth of a Caramel Apple Green Tea. Personally I love drink hot tea in the colder seasons. It warms me up and keeps my blood flowing.

Energizing Caramel Apple Green Tea - Sahklee 180 You only need a few things to create this master piece:
Shaklee 180 Energizing Green Tea
Apple Slices
Cinnamon
Caramel
Water

Caramel Apple Gree Tea

Bring the water to a boil. Pour the hot water into your mug and add the energizing green tea. Than take a spoonful of caramel and stir it into the tea. To finish it off add the apple slices into the mug  and sprinkle with cinnamon. Once everything is combined together let it sit for 5 minutes to cool off and absorb all of the flavors.

That is all there is to it. It is really that simple.

I am pretty sure it is safe to say that I am defiantly a tea gal more than I am a coffee gal. I love that this green tea gives me energy but doesn’t make me jittery.

What about you, would you say that you are more of a tea or coffee drinker?

2 Minute Iced Coffee for Less Than 1 Dollar {Better & Cheaper than Starbucks}

I come to you once again with another one of my favorite drinks. I shared with you the most amazing pomegranate lemonade and my favorite smoothies. Today I am going to share with you an iced coffee that is better than Starbucks!!

As most of you know, have had a lot on my plate the last few months. I am planning a wedding working as a stylist, running my own business and buying a house! Therefor I have needed a little pick me up every once in a while. I love to drink tea and I am not much of a coffee drinker although I don’t mind it every once in a while. Mainly when we have left over that we can’t let go to waste.  So… Here it is: English Toffee Iced Coffee!

DIY Iced Coffee that is better than Starbucks and Cheaper too!

This is a very easy recipe that you can alter at any time. This one is my favorite although you can change the flavor of stevia and have a different flavor drink everyday!

Here is a short video showing you just how I make this Iced coffee!

You will need:

Ice

Milk

Cold Coffee

Maple Syrup

English Toffee Stevia

Fill your glass 3/4 of the way with ice.

Fill the Mason Jar three fourths of the way up with Ice

Pour your milk into your glass just until it covers the ice.

Iced Milk in a Mason Jar

Drizzle the maple syrup over the ice milk.

Pour Maple Syrup on the Iced Milk in the Mason Jar

Then you fill the rest of your glass up with the cool coffee.

Pour Cilled Coffee on the Maple Iced Milk in the Mason Jar

Last but certainly not least, add your favorite flavor of stevia. In this case I used English Toffee. Give it a little stir and you are set to go!

I love adding Stevias to your drinks to add different flavors

This really is a great treat that you don’t have to spend a fortune on. This whole drink cost less than $1.00. That is a lot better than the $4.00 something you would have spent at Starbucks and it only took 2 minutes.

Are you a coffee drinker?
