From Old to New! DIY Gold Necklace

There is something about jewelry that can help define who you are or where you are going.  Think of the difference between the delicacy of a single strand of pearls compared to brighter and bulkier beads. If you were going to a black tie affair you most likely would be wearing the pearls than the beads. That strand of pearls is every elegant and beautiful, it is to be worn by a stunning lady going to a meaningful event.

The necklace I am wearing here really brings out a lot of my personality.  Start with the simplicity of the chain and how it works its way down to a big knot, LOL. Inside that knot holds the key to my heart as well as my love towards my family.  It also shows not only my commitment to life bound by a ring but my love for life found in a dangling earing.

DIY Gold Necklace From Things You Have Laying Around The House At BeautyBlondie.comThis had to have been one of the most fun necklaces I have made in a long time. The first thing I did was find old gold pieces from my grandmother, Goodwill or pieces of jewelry laying around the house. How to Style a Simple Messy Bun with Braids

I am pretty sure that the summer of 2012 is going to go down in history as being one of the hottest summers. With over 40 consecutive days of being over 90 degrees and going on 10 weeks of no rain, you can only image why this summer is record breaking. Since it has been so hot I have been trying to put my hair up in all different ways to make it look nicer than a normal ponytail. On those really hot days I like to wear my hair up and off of my neck to help keep me cooler.

Here is a video of a hair style I have been wearing on some of the really hot days during the summer.

I love how simple this style looks.

My Sun Glasses Holder!

My sister-in-law gave me this square board with all different kinds of ribbons on it.  At first I didn’t know what to do with it and it took me a little while to decide.  Then, it finally came to me… I will use it as a sun glasses holder!  My sisters and I have quite a few sun glasses and I know they will fit on here perfectly with the ribbons holding them in place.  I thought of a few ways to display them on here and I wanted to ask you what you thought looked the best.

Here is the first way. All of the sun glasses are neatly in two rows.

Or

I can have them in three straight lines. 222

Last but not least way is having the sun glasses scattered randomly throughout the board.

What do you think of this idea?
Is it a yay or a nay? And if you do like it, which way is your favorite?

Also I am sorry I haven’t posted in a while, I have had so many things going on and I just didn’t seem to have the time to fit in writing all of my posts. Don’t worry, I was still taking pictures and keeping track of everything going on so you won’t be missing a thing. You will just be getting them at a later time!

Thanks for reading and for sticking with me even while I have been neglecting my blog!

Fresh Lemon and Mint Infused Water

Have you ever been at a really nice spa? For those of you who have never had the chance to experience it; the moment you walk in the door you feel very comfortable and invited. The atmosphere is soothing and very relaxing, the music is soft, the people are friendly and their drinks are so refreshing. A lot of spas have naturally infused water. Lemon Mint infused water is one of my personal favorite flavors.

You will need:

1 Pitch of water
2 Lemons, cut into slices
2 Branches of mint leaves
Stevia (a natural sweetener)

Now comes the easy part. Mix ingredients together in the pitcher of water and let it sit over night in the refrigerator.  Lemon Mint Infused Water at BeautyBlondie.com

I remember the first time I had infused water and I thought it was the greatest invention ever. Who am I kidding, I still do. I don’t know if you know this about me, but I don’t like to drink pop/soda so this is a great treat for me!

Now that I have shared with you one of my favorite flavors it is your turn to share your favorite flavor with me. I would love to know what flavors of infused water people are drinking this summer.

I have many more flavors coming soon so be sure to subscribe to my Blog so you don’t miss a thing!
