Mullet Dress? {My Style}

It can’t be possible that it has been three weeks since Blogher in Chicago. This mint mullet dress completes my 3 outfit city series. I first wore my Pretty in Pink Dress and then my Simple and Sleek Grey Dress.

You might be wondering why I call this dress my mullet dress. Well… it is party in the front and business in the back. Don’t get me wrong, I am in love with this style dress. But you have to admit, it does looks like a mullet.

Like I said last week, dresses are my thing. I ware them 9 time out of 10 when I am going on a date with Brandon, out with friends and almost every other special occasion. Sometime I ask Brandon to take me out somewhere just  so I can get all dressed up (It is a good thing he doesn’t mind getting all dresses up with me).

This is the most amazing dress ever!!! I love the mint color

For this look I wanted a quick and easy hairstyle. (Tutorial to come)

I want this mint colored dress

I promise it is easier than it looks: at conference you need a style that is quick and easy.

This is an amazing hairstyle that only takes 5 minutes to style

I added a pearl necklace…

I love this necklace with this mint dress... so cute!

… and few other pearl accessories.

Adding simple jewelry to a mint dress, I love it!

I then completed the look with some strappy white heals. I don’t know if you remember but these are the same ones that I wore in my first outfit.

It is easy to duplicate shoes when you are traveling. Most of the time your shoes can be very versatile and will go with more than one outfit anyways.

Again all of the credit of these beautiful photos go to Emily (Freckled-Fox.com).

I just have to mention that I am completely obsessed with the color mint! It is such a beautiful color and I love they way it brings out my tan.

Is there a color you love to wear? Maybe a color that brings out your eyes or one of your favorite features about yourself?

Pink Dress and Brown Boots {My Country Style}

If any of you have been keeping up on my social media the past few weeks, you probably know that I spent the past week in Nashville Tennessee for a Shaklee Global Conference. You might also know that I am a country girl at heart so naturally I was so excited that Shaklee choose Nashville as a destination. It is always a great surprise to me where they choose their conferences. I love having a set destination to go to every year and the best part is that I will be married next year!!! Whoohoo!!! I am looking forward to an annual anniversary trip to amazing places all over the country.

I will tell you more about my Shaklee Conference later, for now, I will show you one of my country / Nashville outfits. I have said this before and I will say it again, I LOVE DRESSES!!! They are so comfortable and easy to dress up or down. They completely take the thinking out of picking out my outfits. Throw on a dress, add a belt (only if it needs it), slip on some shoes ((in this case, boots), add a few accessories and you are all set!

This is such a cute outfit... I love how the boots an belt tie everything together!

I also love braided belts and that there are so many different ways to tie them to change the look. (Tutorial to come)

I love this small braided belt with this pink dress

Cowgirl boots are so comfortable and can be worn with so many different outfits.

These are the best cowgirl boots ever!

This is such a great chilling outfit, it is so cute and casual.

The brown cowgirls boots go great with the pink ruffled dress

It was so beautiful in Tennessee

This is such a cute couple

All of the credit of these pictures go to my fiancé Brandon. He is so good to me and I can’t wait to finally call him my husband.

I just have to ask, am I the only one that loves to wear boots with my dresses?

How to Tease Your Hair… The Proper Way! {Video}

I can’t tell you how many people have asked me to teach them how to tease their hair. When it comes to adding a little height to your hair you want to make sure you don’t leave it looking messy. There is a big difference between teasing your hair and creating a rats nest. I really is a simple process of sectioning the hair, creating a cushion and smoothing it out.

An Awesome Tutorial on how to teas your hair the right way!

Here is a video showing you how to tease your hair the proper way in under 4 minutes!

Take a section of hair around your part line that is about 1 inch wide and 3 inches long.

Take small sections oh hair

Insert your comb directly in the middle of your section of hair and comb downward.

Put the comb in the the hair half way and pul in down

Do this on both sides of your head.

Do the same to the other side of your hair

Don’t forget the back of your head. By now you should have teased the entire crown of the head. (Do you like my natural Ombre going on back there? I haven’t had a full highlight in, I don’t know how long But don’t worry I am getting a full before the wedding!)

Do the same with the back of your hair

As soon as you finish teasing to top of your head. Start to smooth out your hair with the end of your comb.

Smooth the hair with the back of your comb

Making sure you smooth out the top of your hair is one of the most important parts of teasing your hair. You want to make sure you don’t comb out all of your tease.

Teasing your hair

I personally think that with a proper tease you can not only create volume to your hair but you can also create fullness to thin or fine hair.

The dos and don'ts of teasing your hair

Have you ever had issues teasing your hair? Did you find this video helpful?

I would love to be able to make more videos on tutorials that you would like to see. So  please let me know anything that you would like me to share and I will put it at the top of the list to post.

Thank you so much for reading.

Simple and Sleek Grey Dress {My Style}

I can’t believe that Blogher was over a week ago. Since we spent 3 days in Chicago I have a total of 3 outfits from the blogging conference for you. One of the things I love about the city is the sleek business style. I love seeing everyone walking to work all dressed up. My first Chicago inspired outfit was my Pretty in a Pale Pink Dress and today is Simple and Sleek.

Here is a fun fact about Elisabeth (Yes I am talking about myself in the 3rd person). I absolutely love wearing dresses!!! They are so fun and flirty as well as sleek and sophisticated! You never have to worry about pairing it with another article of clothing. You only need to find great accessories, shoes and the perfect purse. That is exactly  what I did with this outfit! I started with a simple dress.

This whole outfit is so put together. Simple and Sleek

I then added some sweet pumps!

I think I am in love.... Just look at those shoes!!Chilling in Chicago in a Simple and Sleek Dress

A Poofy Ponytail… some simple accessories.

This is a great go to style... the poofy ponytail Hanging out in Chicago enjoying my photo shoot with the Freckled Fox

And a Prada purse to complete the look.

I love this Prada purse! It makes this outfit look to complete

It doesn’t get much easier than that!

This Grey Dress is Simple and Sleek... Plus I love Those ShoesThis is such a cute black prada bag

I use to think it was hard to pack for trips like this one. Although I have mastered the art of packing in 4 easy steps. I actually enjoy packing now because of how easy it is. The hardest part in not having enough space in my bag(s). lol.

I would like to thank Emily (From the Freckled-Fox.com) again for taking all of these pictures for me. You are so talented and I had an amazing time rooming with you.

I have one more Chicago outfit for you next week so don’t forget to subscribe in the upper right-hand box so you don’t miss a thing.

Until next time,
