Are you sick and tired of your eye makeup remover burning your eyes? Or maybe it just doesn’t work the way it should and your eyes are raw after wiping them so many times (and probably way to hard).
You are not alone! For years I have been struggling to find the right eye makeup remover for me. I don’t know how many different products I have tried. Out of all of them there was only one that stood out from all of the rest and that was coconut oil!
I know what you are probably thinking: coconut oil isn’t a eye makeup removal product. Although coconut oil is used in the kitchen there are so many other uses for it and removing makeup is one of them.
Here is a short video showing you just how easy it is to use coconut oil as an eye makeup remover.
I honestly can’t believe how amazing coconut oil works. It is natural, safe and effective. Once you start using it, I guarantee you won’t ever go back to your old stuff again.
It is this simple:
1. Start with all of your makeup still on your face.
2. Put coconut oil on your fingers (about a pea size) and close your eyes.
3. Rub the coconut oil on your eyes.
4. Yes it will look you have big black raccoon eyes. lol
5. Grab your wash clothe.
6. Gently wipe off the oil with your clothe.
7. Repeat on other eye.
8. You’re finished!
It doesn’t get much easier than this! It doesn’t make my eyes burn and there are no harsh chemicals! This is definitely a must try, it even gets off waterproof mascara!
Do you like the eye makeup remover that you are currently using? If you get it in your eye does it burn like mind did?
Awesome! I can’t wait to try this, I’ve used coconut oil for my little ones diaper rash, for popcorn, for my skin, for cooking, but not yet for eye makeup. Love your blog and your awesome tips!

May, I have never washed my whole face with it but I can imagine that it would be pretty sticky. Thanks for sharing!

I’m pleasantly surprised! It worked incredibly well … fast & easy with no mess even on several coats of waterproof mascra 🙂
Thanks Elisabeth.
Where do you buy coconut oil? I’ve seen it in liquid form (like cooking oil), but your photos show it more as a solid?
Hey Jeaninne, I actually order my coconut oil on line or I buy it at Trader Joe’s. It is solid in the winter because it is cold out. When it gets warm in the summer, it turns to a liquid. 🙂 I hope that helps.
Thank you for this great review!
